Objective 1 - Celebration
During the past four years, the students, staff, and parents at Rocky Hill have continued to celebrate our GreenSchool focus through school-wide celebration, grade level recognition, and club-sponsored activities and outings.
School-wide
T.A.P. into science
Under the auspices of our science department, our parents and staff members are invited to participate in a student produced showcase of their project-based learning. The program, called T.A.P. (Test And Present), allows our students to demonstrate their environmental engineering and design skills and present their findings to their grade-level classmates. This annual event features Chesapeake Bay bioscapes, Hydroponic/Aquaponic projects, and Homes for Habitats. All of these student-produced projects shared the limelight and were evaluated for their accuracy, effectiveness, and practicality by peer review.

Green Kids Canoe Outing
To celebrate another successful year of team-oriented environment-based club activities, our group of GreenKids/Science Club and ESOL students planned and carried out a portage and paddle at Black Hills Regional Park. This annual event, sponsored by the
CBF and our own PTA, gives students a chance to experience the outdoors, make new friends, and build new skills.

Critter Show
The annual "Critter Show" gives our 6th grade students the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of animals that represent native and non-native Maryland species.
